Soldeu is a small, village resort right in the heart of the Grandvalira ski area, boasting over 210 km of pistes. It is probably the most exclusive resort in Andorra and is popular for its quality and luxurious hotels. It is quite a “condensed” village, so it is never far to walk for the gondola or the Apres Ski bars and restaurants.
The immediate ski area has wide sweeping slopes which are ideal for beginners and intermediates, however, the more adventurous and experienced skiers have the luxury of the more demanding pistes in close proximity. The ski station at the top of the gondola has all the facilities including an excellent ski & snowboard school with English speaking instructors, childrens Snow Garden and kindergarten/nursery for the very little ones.
Soldeu is very much focused on families too! A few of the hotels have excellent children's play areas, some of them monitored (free of charge) to keep the little ones happy whilst the “not so little ones” can enjoy a bit of relaxation and Apres Ski.
The gondola is in the centre of the village, with the Hotel Sport Village built around it.

There are plenty of snow activities for the adventurous as well as Mushing, which is always popular with visitors.
A short bus ride away in the nearby town of Canillo you will find the Palau del Gel, which has an ice-skating rink, swimming pool and other activities which are great for a day or afternoon off the slopes, especially for families.
The spas at the Piolets Park & Spa hotel and the amazing wellness/spa centre in the Sport Hotel complex are great for a good pampering after a hard day on the slopes.
The Après ski in Soldeu often centres around the hotel bars, but there are a few livelier bars in the village for those that like to step it up a notch. Apart from the hotel restaurants, there are a few worth a visit in Soldeu:
Fat Alberts - famous for its ribs & serving American diner style food
La Llar de L’artesa - BBQ, grilled meats, European cuisine
Restaurnte Taverna de la Iaia - traditional tapas
Ibaya - just one of the Michelin star restaurants in the Hotel Sport Hermitage
La Caleta - very popular Spanish/Mediterranean/European dishes & tapas
