Adults Group Lessons Valmorel

Adult private lessons at ESF Valmorel provide a personalised way to learn or improve skiing and snowboarding without having to follow the pace of a group class. Whether you are a complete beginner, returning to the slopes after time away or an experienced skier looking to sharpen a particular skill, the instructor can adapt the session to your ability, confidence and objectives.

ESF Valmorel has a team of around 150 instructors and offers adult private tuition alongside its group ski and snowboard programmes. The school describes its private coaching as tailor-made, with lessons designed around the participant's needs and ambitions.

The main benefit of private tuition is the individual attention. Instead of working through a standard programme designed for a group, you can concentrate on the areas that matter most to you.

For a first-time skier, this might mean spending extra time becoming comfortable with balance, stopping and basic turns. An intermediate skier could focus on technique, confidence or adapting to different snow conditions, while an experienced participant may want to work on a specific technical point or explore more challenging terrain.

Private instruction is available for both alpine skiing and snowboarding. This makes it possible to book individual coaching whether you are taking your first steps on skis or trying snowboarding for the first time.

The school specifically notes that someone who has never skied can still choose to learn snowboarding through private tuition. The instructor can create a lesson around the participant rather than expecting them to fit into a predetermined group structure. This flexibility can be particularly useful for adults who have limited experience, feel nervous about joining a group or want to make noticeable progress during a short stay.

Private tuition can also be valuable for adults who already have skiing experience but have not been on the slopes for several seasons. Rather than starting from the beginning in a general beginner class, you can discuss your previous experience with the instructor and concentrate on rebuilding the skills and confidence you need.

An instructor can also identify technical habits that may be holding you back and provide immediate feedback while you practise. For more confident skiers, the focus can shift towards becoming more versatile across the mountain.

International visitors can request private instruction in a range of languages. ESF Valmorel currently lists French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, subject to instructor availability.
