Alta Badia is an enchanting valley with a breathtaking view, dominated by the Sassolungo massif and the splendid rocky peaks of the Dolomites.
This ski resort includes several villages, including Corvara, which is the main one, then Colfosco, La Villa, San Cassiano, Badia and La Val. These villages, some larger, such as Corvara, others smaller, such as La Val, retain the typical South Tyrolean architectural style and are a pleasure to visit. They also have some shops, should you wish to do some shopping.
The resort, which is one of Italy's best known in the world and is part of the world's largest ski area, the Dolomiti Superski, which boasts 1,200 km of slopes in several locations, many of which are interconnected, offers 130km of ski slopes suitable for all levels of skiers and is well connected to other famous destinations, such as Arabba and Val di Fassa. Furthermore, from here you can easily reach the Sellaronda circuit and the Grande Guerra circuit. In fact, of all the resorts in the Dolomiti Superski group, it is the best connected.
This resort is a meeting point between two cultures, the Italian and the Ladin. This is reflected in the language, in fact Ladin is spoken in this area.
This multiculturalism is also reflected in the culinary art of the area, where in fact you can enjoy both traditional Italian and South Tyrolean dishes in the many excellent restaurants in the area.
Alta Badia offers a lively après-ski and nightlife scene, but also quieter places to enjoy a drink and relax. In the villages of Val Badia there are some of the most popular apres-ski venues in Italy.
