Arinsal Overview
Arinsal and Pal are two fantastic ski areas now seamlessly connected by cable car. Major investment in the lift system has created a unified ski domain with 93 km of pistes, including the renowned resort of Ordino Arcalís.
Arinsal is a popular resort known for its wide range of accommodation, excellent restaurants, and vibrant bars. It is a picturesque and traditional village with stone-clad buildings and tree lined mountains that give a spectacular backdrop. It’s an outstanding choice for beginners and intermediates, offering gentle slopes, confidence-building terrain, and a highly regarded ski school.
For freestyle enthusiasts, Arinsal also features a dedicated snow park located in the Comallemple sector. The park includes many features suitable for beginners through to more advanced riders allowing skiers and snowboarders to build confidence and develop new tricks in a safe, well-maintained environment.
The Arinsal/Pal lift pass also includes access to Ordino Arcalís, which added a further 30 km of varied terrain to explore. If you book a lift pass for four days or more, you can also enjoy one day’s skiing in the expansive Grandvalira ski area.
This lift pass is known as the Nord Pass, giving you excellent value and flexibility throughout your stay.

Learning to ski in Arinsal
Arinsal is one of the most renowned destinations in Europe for learning to ski and snowboard. It's internationally acclaimed ski school features a large number of English-speaking instructors, ensuring clear guidance for visitors from all over the world. Families will also appreciate the on-slope child care facilities, giving parents peace of mind while little ones are looked after in a safe, fun environment.
Young children aged 3 to 5 years can take lessons with specialised instructors at the Snow Garden, a dedicated area designed to make learning fun, safe, and confidence-building for the very youngest skiers.
The ski and snowboard school is designed to get beginners confidently on their feet quickly. By the end of the week, you’ll be able to explore more of Arinsal’s gentle slopes — or take a scenic trip on the cable car over to Pal for tree-lined runs. For those with prior experience, Arinsal Ski School offers excellent intermediate and improver courses tailored for both skiers and snowboarders, helping you refine your technique and enjoy more challenging terrain.

Arinsal Bars and Restaurants
Arinsal has a great reputation for its wide variety of bars and restaurants and you will be spoiled for choice here when it comes to food. From local Catalan specialities to Tex Mex, Asian, Argentinian Steak Houses and whole hearty pub grub, it really has it all. On the slopes too, you have a choice of a number of mountain restaurants so whether you are looking for a coffee stop, some lunch or some apres ski drinks you have it all.
The nightlife is pretty great too and all at a reasonable price when it comes to drinks; Apres starts late afternoon until late in the evening and can get quite lively late on.
