Children Group Lessons Les Menuires
Children’s group lessons at ESF Les Menuires provide a fun and structured introduction to skiing and snowboarding, giving young participants the opportunity to develop their skills while learning alongside children of a similar age and ability. Group lessons give children the chance to learn with other young skiers rather than spending their entire time with parents or siblings. Sharing the experience with peers can make lessons more enjoyable and encourage children to support and motivate one another as they develop. With programmes designed for different stages of development, ESF can welcome children from their first experiences on snow through to advanced skiing and competition-level training. Children’s group lessons at ESF Les Menuires combine professional instruction with the social and playful aspects that make a family ski holiday memorable. From first glides for younger children to advanced ski and snowboard development for confident riders, programmes are structured to help children progress without losing the enjoyment of being on the snow.
For families visiting Les Menuires, group tuition can therefore be a practical way to give children their own age- and ability-appropriate experience on the mountain, while helping them develop technique, confidence and independence along the way.
ESF Les Menuires offers age-specific programmes, recognising that younger children need a different approach from older and more experienced young skiers. Children aged 4 and 5 can join dedicated group ski lessons in a secure, child-friendly environment, while children aged 6 to 12 have access to a broader range of courses from beginner levels through to advanced stages. Groups are organised according to ability so instructors can work on skills that are appropriate for each stage. A beginner can concentrate on fundamental movements and controlling their skis, while a more accomplished young skier can work on technique, speed, turns and more demanding slopes.

Children's Group Ski Lessons from Age 6
For children aged 6 to 12, the main ski programme follows the French ski-school progression system, beginning with Flocon and continuing through the Étoile levels towards competition. This gives children clear milestones as they improve their technique, confidence and ability to handle different terrain.
