Folgaria Overview
Folgaria is part of the Alpe Cimbra ski resort, which includes several locations and more than 100km of slopes. You can easily move between the various locations thanks to the convenient free bus service. Folgaria is a not particularly well-known resort, despite being one of the oldest in Italy, dating back to 1930. This fact ensures that the slopes are never particularly crowded. Another point in favor of this location is the price, which is convenient compared to many other famous locations in Italy and Europe. Folgaria is a ski area particularly suitable for beginners and families with children, thanks to the presence of several nursery areas and wide blue slopes.
The village of Folgaria is small and colorful, dotted with hotels, restaurants and cafes, most of them family-run. In the architecture of the place you can also find some German characteristics. You can also hear a particular dialect of this area.

Things to do in Folgaria
Activities - There are several activities that this location offers, in addition to skiing and snowboarding. You can practice horseback riding and, for those who prefer more relaxing activities, you can spend a day in a spa. For those who want to practice activities on the snow there are cross-country skiing, Nordic walking, snowshoe walking, winter biking, ice skating and even snowcat experience.
Restaurants - Folgaria offers several restaurants, both on the ski slopes and directly in the village. Here you can taste both Italian and German cuisine. Among the spots we recommend you try are the Rifugio Baita Tonda, located on the slopes and equipped with a beautiful terrace, and the Rifugio Stella d'Italia, with a typical Alpine atmosphere.
Nightlife - This location is not particularly known for its nightlife, but as far as that goes, there are several spots where you can go after a day on the slopes to have a drink and dance. Among these are La Calkera, located right at the end of a fabulous ski slope, John Caffe, more suitable for those who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere and Pub Voltabot, a classic Italian-style apres-ski.
