Kubínska hoľa Overview
Kubínska hoľa is one of Slovakia’s most popular ski resorts, located in the Oravská Magura mountains near the town of Dolný Kubín. The resort is known for its scenic views of the Western Tatras, family-friendly atmosphere, and varied terrain suitable for beginners, intermediate skiers, and freeriders alike.
The ski area offers around 13–14 km of slopes served by 10 lifts, including two modern four-seat chairlifts. Visitors can enjoy groomed pistes, night skiing, ski schools, freeride zones, and children’s facilities such as a dedicated Kids Park. The resort sits between 720 and 1,396 meters above sea level and has extensive snowmaking coverage to ensure reliable winter conditions.
Kubínska hoľa is especially appreciated for its relaxed atmosphere, beautiful mountain panoramas, and accessibility from northern Slovakia. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the area also offers cross-country trails, equipment rental, restaurants, and nearby wellness accommodation.

Activities - Winter in Kubínska hoľa offers much more than just skiing and snowboarding. Visitors can enjoy freeride zones, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and scenic winter hikes with beautiful views of the Orava region and the Western Tatras. Families will find children’s ski parks and beginner-friendly slopes, while adventure seekers can try night skiing or off-piste terrain after fresh snowfall. After outdoor activities, many guests relax in nearby wellness centres and thermal facilities in Dolný Kubín, making the resort a great destination for both active holidays and peaceful winter escapes.

Airport Transfers - How to get to Kubínska hoľa
We can organise your transfers from Bratislava Airport, Kosice Airport, Poprad - Tatry Airport. You can also choose between a shuttle transfer which can be more economical if only a few people are travelling or a private transfer which will take you direct from the airport to your accommodation.

Distance to Poprad - Tatry Airport: 100km
If you are making your own way to the resort by car - make sure you have the "Vignette" sticker as you will need this to travel on the highways in Austria otherwise you would receive a fine.
