La Massana Overview
La Massana town is the capital of the La Massana Parish area that includes Arinsal, Erts and Anyos. The gondola is in the center of town, with the Hotel Magic Ski, actually built around the gondola station. This takes you directly to the Pal ski station, part of the Vallnord ski area, joining on to Arinsal via cable car.
La Massana is becoming ever more popular as a base for ski and snow enthusiasts for various reasons. The ski station at Pal has plenty to offer; a great ski school, nursery facilities and plenty of adventure activities. Apart from that, the town of La Massana has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants as well as the “comic museum” and the Rossell Forge museum. La Massana has much more of a “small town” feel rather than being just a “resort”.
Only 5 km from the capital of Andorra, Andorra La Vella, with regular public transport taking a matter of minutes. There you have the beautiful shopping district as well as “Caldea”, one of the largest spas in Europe, within easy reach for an afternoon / evening off the slopes.
A varied choice of accommodation in La Massana means that there is something for everyone, and the added bonus of being very budget friendly.
The Pal/Arinsal lift pass also includes access to Arcalis-Ordino, which added a further 30km of varied terrain to explore. If you book a lift pass for 4 days or more, you can also enjoy 1 day skiing in the expansive Grandvalira ski area.

The ski and snowboard school is designed to get you confident on the snow quickly. By the end of the week, beginners can try other Pal slopes or even take the cable car over to Arinsal for more variety.
