Montegenevre is a resort located right on the border between Italy and France and is part of the large ski area called Milky Way, which boasts 400 km of slopes, 95 km of which are part of the Montgenevre resort. This place boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year, but thanks to the high altitude of the slopes, the snow generally remains in good condition. The ski resort is suitable for skiers of all levels, although beginners will find it a real paradise here to gain confidence in the sport, thanks in part to the fact that the easiest slopes, which are best suited for learning, are never crowded. A particularly interesting aspect of Montgenèvre is that you have the opportunity to ski in two countries, both France and Italy, particularly in Claviere but also in Sestriere, Sasciario and Sauze d'Oulx, thanks to the proximity and connections with the ski lifts.
The village of Montgenèvre is charming and has a French style. Along the main street, you will find many places where you can enjoy excellent French and Italian food or relax with an aperitif.

Things to do - In Montgenevre, in addition to skiing and snowboarding, you can try your hand at freeriding, snowshoe walking, ice skating and skidooing. In the evening, you can enjoy a film in the local cinema.
Restaurants - Montgenèvre offers 24 restaurants scattered throughout the town, mainly located along the main street. In particular, you will find many restaurants serving French and Italian cuisine, given the proximity to the Montgenèvre border. Among the restaurants we recommend trying are Le Transalpin, where you can enjoy Italian food in an elegant setting, ideal for a romantic dinner, and L'Estable, the perfect place to enjoy typical French dishes such as fondue and raclette in a traditional setting. Le Graal, if you are looking for good, simple food, such as hamburgers and fish and chips, but also typical French dishes, this is the place for you; Le Trio, which offers a wide range of excellent meat and other specialities, as well as vegetarian dishes; and Le César, excellent for pizza and typical mountain dishes at an affordable price.
Nightlife - When it comes to après-ski and nightlife, Montgenèvre is definitely a quiet and relaxed place, so if you're looking for wild fun, it may not be the best destination for you. However, there are several bars along the town's main street where you can enjoy an excellent aperitif, perhaps after spending the day on the ski slopes. Among those you could try are Le Graal, where you can watch sporting events on TV and which organises themed evenings every week, and the Exit Pub, ideal if you are looking for a place to have fun and party.
