Property details

RockyPop Flaine is a distinctive mountain hotel in the heart of Flaine, created for guests who want more than a conventional place to sleep. Combining colourful design, a lively social atmosphere and practical ski-holiday facilities, the hotel is positioned close to the slopes, shops and resort activities. It is particularly well suited to families, groups of friends and couples who enjoy a relaxed environment with plenty to do after skiing. The hotel's official website describes 118 rooms, alongside larger apartments and penthouses, while the wider property includes a NUXE spa, several dining options, a cocktail bar, entertainment areas and an on-site ski shop.

One of RockyPop Flaine's biggest practical advantages is its location. The hotel is in the Flaine Forum area, within walking distance of the ski slopes, shops and principal resort facilities. Because central Flaine is pedestrianised, guests can enjoy a largely car-free stay once they have arrived. The hotel provides convenient access to the Grand Massif ski area, which offers around 265 km of pistes. Flaine's position also gives visitors impressive views towards Mont Blanc. For winter visitors, being close to the slopes means less time spent carrying skis and boots between accommodation and the mountain. The location is equally useful during summer, when the surrounding area becomes a base for hiking and other outdoor activities.

RockyPop's accommodation is deliberately varied, making the property suitable for anything from a couple's short break to a large family or group holiday. The hotel offers different room categories, including Duo, Superior, Family and adjoining rooms. Depending on the configuration, rooms can accommodate from two to six people. Facilities include comfortable bedding, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, televisions and other practical amenities.

Rooms also feature:

* High-speed Wi-Fi

* HD television

* Free video-on-demand entertainment

* Hairdryer

* Safe

* Telephone

* Desk or workspace

* Tea and coffee facilities

* RockyPop bathroom and hospitality products

The combination of practical amenities and playful interiors gives the rooms a less formal feel than a traditional alpine hotel.

Families are particularly well catered for. RockyPop offers rooms configured for adults and children, including Family and Superior options. Connecting rooms are another possibility for groups wanting separate sleeping spaces while remaining close together. The hotel also places considerable emphasis on being child-friendly, with games, arcade machines, table football and family-oriented dining options available.

For bigger parties, RockyPop Flaine has a selection of spacious penthouses. These are particularly suitable for families travelling together, groups of friends or colleagues. Depending on the configuration, penthouses accommodate five, six, eight or ten people. They combine separate sleeping areas with communal living space and kitchen facilities. The larger units can include multiple showers and toilets, which is particularly useful when several people are preparing for a day on the slopes at the same time. The 84 m² ten-person penthouse, for example, has a fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, multifunction oven, dishwasher and large refrigerator, together with a living and dining area, three showers and three toilets. The NUXE Spa is one of the hotel's major attractions. After a day in the mountains, guests can use a heated pool maintained at approximately 30°C, a children's pool, sauna, hammam and relaxation area. The spa also offers massages and treatments. This makes the hotel particularly appealing to guests who want to balance active days in the Grand Massif with periods of relaxation. The children's pool is also a useful feature for families, allowing younger guests to enjoy the wellness facilities alongside the adults, subject to the spa's current access rules.

Food is an important part of the RockyPop concept. The hotel offers three restaurants, alongside its bar, giving guests several opportunities to eat without leaving the property. The wider RockyPop dining concept includes generous, informal food rather than formal fine dining. Depending on the venue and current seasonal programme, the brand offers dishes such as burgers, pizzas, tapas, brasserie-style meals, themed buffets and local specialities. For guests who prefer a flexible evening, this style of dining works well after a day outdoors when comfort and convenience are more important than a lengthy formal meal.

Breakfast is available as a buffet and is designed to give guests a substantial start to the day. RockyPop's accommodation packages can include breakfast, while the exact arrangement depends on the rate selected. For skiers, an early breakfast is particularly useful before heading onto the slopes. The hotel also provides takeaway breakfast options for guests who need to leave early.

RockyPop Flaine has a cocktail bar with a deliberately informal, pop-culture-inspired atmosphere. It provides somewhere to meet friends, have a drink or relax after dinner without needing to travel elsewhere in the resort.

Guests have access to a selection of games designed for both adults and children. Facilities include table football, arcade games and other recreational activities, with games available free of charge. There are also two karaoke rooms, adding another option for evening entertainment.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Rooms also include televisions with multiple channels, free on-demand movies and Chromecast technology, allowing guests to stream compatible content. These facilities can be useful after a full day outdoors, especially for families looking for entertainment in the evening or guests staying for a longer period.

RockyPop Flaine provides access to laundry facilities, with tokens available from reception. This is especially useful for families, long-stay guests and visitors participating in outdoor activities where clothing can become wet or muddy. Having laundry facilities on-site reduces the amount of clothing guests need to pack for a longer mountain holiday.

Flaine's central area is pedestrianised, so guests cannot simply drive directly to the hotel entrance for ordinary parking. Parking is available at the entrances to the resort levels, with paid parking currently listed at €10 per 24 hours. A free alternative is available at Col de Pierre Carrée, with shuttle connections during the day.
