Sansicario Overview

Sansicario is a small village whose slopes are part of the large ski area of the Milky Way, which with its 400km is one of the largest in Italy. The slopes of Sansicario are mainly blue and red, and for this reason particularly suitable for beginners and intermediate level skiers. A great advantage of this resort is that the places are not particularly crowded compared to other locations of the Milky Way, so if you love quieter places this is the perfect location for you. Furthermore, Sansicario is well connected to the Montgenevre resort in France, so from this location you will have the possibility of skiing in another country with a single ski pass.

The village is small and compact and there are no cars in its neighborhood, so it is suitable for families with children. There are some hotels, some restaurants, some shops and a supermarket but in general it is a place that always remains generally quiet, so if you are looking for a moving place at Sansicario is not for you, and you could head towards Sestriere or Sauze d'Oulx, which are decidedly livelier.

Things to do in Sansicario

Restaurants - Sansicario does not offer a very wide choice of restaurants and bars. Among those that we recommend you try are Il Matterello, which offers excellent traditional dishes in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the Trattoria de Serafina, much appreciated by the locals, it is a family-run restaurant for many generations and serves typical local dishes.

Nightlife - Sansicario is definitely not the place for lovers of après-ski and nightlife. There are very few places and most people return to their accommodation after a day on the slopes. However, for a drink, you can opt for the Enoteca, which offers a wide selection of wines. If you are looking for something more lively, you can go to Sestriere, which is just a few kilometres away.
