Scheffau Overview

Scheffau is the smallest village in the Wilder Kaiser region. It is a welcoming, typically Tyrolean village with typical wooden chalets and surrounded by a splendid view of the Wilder Kaiser massif.
 
From Scheffau, guests have access to the SkiWelt ski area, which offers more than 280 kilometers of slopes for all levels, from the easiest for beginners to intermediates and more difficult for experienced skiers. Scheffau also has the only cross-country ski trail that is also illuminated in the evening.

Things to do in Scheffau

Scheffau is a place that offers a variety of activities besides skiing and snowboarding.
An interesting place to visit is the Flycentre King of the Air, which offers the possibility of flying in tandem paragliders from the top of the Hartkaiser. A charming place to visit in winter is the Hintersteinersee lake, a mountain lake whose surface freezes in winter. Austria is famous for wellness and Scheffau is an area rich in spring waters. In fact, in the village guests can explore the Kneipp Tour stations.

Scheffau offers numerous restaurants, where guests can enjoy typical Austrian local cuisine. Some places to try are the "Leitenhof", which prepares its dishes with local natural products and the "Waldhof Alm", located directly on the ski slopes.

Airport Transfers - How to get to Scheffau

We can organise your transfers from Salzburg airport, Innsbruck airport or Munich aiport.  You can also choose between a shuttle transfer which can be more economical if ony a few people are travelling or a private transfer which will take you direct from the airport to your accommodation.

If you are making your own way to the resort by car - make sure you have the "Vignette" sticker as you will need this to travel on the highways in Austria otherwise you would receive a fine.
