Bad Gastein Ski Extras

Overview

Bad Gastein is a thermal spa town where people were flocking to long before the ski lifts arrived.  With hot springs and grand hotels, where you can unwind in the mineral-rich waters of the Felsentherme spa which features water massage beds, a geyser, a jet stream canal, a 70m long adventure slide, plus a small children's pool and a magical rock grotto with thermal waterfalls, outdoor thermal pools and sport pool.

As well as tree lined runs to the valley, there are also wide open pistes from the top including a 10.5km run from the Hohe Scharte summit.  There are also some nursery slopes by the gondola, before tackling the nearby blues. if you are a beginner

Running through the centre of the village is a deep gorge surrounded by elegant hotels and buildings.  In Bad Gastein the hotel rooms are spacious and grand compared with your typical ski resort.
