Hohe Salve Overview

Hohe Salve is an idyllic region located in the heart of the Kitzbuhel Alps. The area includes several locations, such as Hopfgarten im Brixental, Itter, Worgl, Kirchbichl, Kelchsau, Mariastein, Angath and Angerberg, so all guests can find the ideal holiday spot, depending on their needs.

At the various ski resorts you can find slopes for all levels, from beginners to more expert skiers, and modern ski lifts.

In addition, the slopes are easily accessible even if your accommodation is not located directly next to the ski facilities, thanks to the efficient free bus service.

Things to do in Hohe Salve

Activities - In the Hohe Salve region you can do various activities, besides skiing and snowboarding. For example, you can practice cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking. It is also a suitable place for a holiday with your furry friends. For those who prefer to relax there are the Aquarena and the Panorama Badewelt, with swimming pools and wellness center.

Restaurants - The Hohe Salve area offers a wonderful mix of traditional mountain dining and regional Austrian cuisine. Visitors can stop at cosy alpine huts such as Gipfelalm Hohe Salve, known for its panoramic setting and a menu combining classic Tyrolean dishes with international influences. Other options include Alpengasthof Rigi and Salvenalm, where guests can enjoy hearty food in a relaxed mountain atmosphere. The wider Hohe Salve region also features numerous huts, restaurants, cafés and traditional inns, making it easy to combine sightseeing or skiing with a memorable meal.

Apres Ski & Nightlife - The Hohe Salve area offers a relaxed mix of après-ski, mountain bars and evening entertainment. After skiing, visitors can enjoy drinks and music at alpine huts and slope-side venues before heading down into villages such as Hopfgarten, Itter and Söll. Söll is particularly known for its lively evening atmosphere, with a selection of pubs, bars and après-ski venues. For those looking for a quieter evening, the region also has traditional restaurants and cosy places where you can enjoy local food and drinks surrounded by the Tyrolean mountains.

You can also choose between a shuttle transfer which can be more economical if only a few people are travelling or a private transfer which will take you direct from the airport to your accommodation.
