If you are unsure which one to choose, don't worry, based on where you are staying and your skiing/snowboarding requirements, we will book you into the one most suitable.

The French Ski School is part of the extensive ESF network serving Les Arcs, one of the major ski destinations within the Paradiski area. With ESF schools operating across several resort sectors, including Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000, visitors can choose lessons that are convenient for their accommodation while accessing a remarkably varied mountain environment. The resort's official tourism information lists around 425 kilometres of pistes across Paradiski and a wide choice of ski and snowboard instruction.
ESF Les Arcs is designed to accommodate a broad range of skiing abilities. Complete beginners can learn the fundamentals in dedicated beginner areas, while intermediate and advanced skiers can use lessons to improve technique, gain confidence on more demanding terrain or discover different styles of skiing. The teaching approach can therefore be adapted to the participant's experience, whether the priority is simply becoming comfortable on skis or developing more refined skills.
Ski / Snowboard Lessons for All Ages
Children and teenagers group ski school
Children are an important part of ESF's Les Arcs offering. At Arc 1950, youngsters can begin skiing from the age of three in a dedicated, secure learning environment. Lessons are designed to combine enjoyment with progressive development, helping children become comfortable on snow before moving onto the wider mountain.
Arc 1600 also provides programmes for different age groups, including dedicated activities for children aged 3–4, children aged 5–12 and teenagers from 13 upwards.
For young snowboarders, ESF Arc 1600 offers lessons from age eight. Classes are organised around ability, allowing children to learn board control and technique progressively in a supportive environment.

Adult Group Ski School
Adults can choose between group instruction and private coaching. Group lessons provide a social way to improve while learning with people at a comparable level, whereas private tuition gives participants more freedom to concentrate on particular weaknesses, goals or concerns.
The schools welcome both beginners and experienced riders. At Arc 1950, ESF specifically offers lessons for adults and children across different ages and ability levels, with options ranging from skiing and snowboarding to more specialised disciplines.
For adults who may feel nervous about returning to skiing after several years away, professional guidance can also provide a useful confidence boost before tackling more challenging pistes.

Private Ski / Snowboard lessons
Private tuition is an option for individuals, families and small groups who want instruction tailored closely to their needs. ESF Arc 1600 offers private ski and snowboard sessions where participants can choose between different lesson durations and either learn alone or form a small group with people of a similar ability.
This format can be particularly useful when members of a family have very different skiing standards. Instead of trying to fit everyone into one group class, an instructor can adjust the pace and focus of the lesson to the participants.
Private children's lessons are also available, allowing younger skiers to work at their own pace with an instructor dedicated to them.

Group lessons
Group lessons are organised by dividing participants according to age and ability level, so that everyone can learn alongside people of a similar standard. This ensures both better teaching and learning, as well as more enjoyment.
