Whether it's your first time on the slopes or you're an off-piste expert, there's a level of tuition available to help you develop and refine your technique. Ski school is also a great way to meet like-minded people and have some fun skiing together with everyone sharing hints and tips across the group.

The ESF Les Menuires ski and snowboard school offers a wide selection of winter-sports instruction for children, teenagers and adults in the heart of the 3 Vallées. Located at around 1,850 metres, Les Menuires provides a high-altitude setting for learning and improving on snow, with the local resort offering approximately 160 kilometres of pistes and 33 lifts.

With nearly 400 instructors and around 60 years of history, ESF Les Menuires has developed a broad programme covering traditional ski and snowboard lessons as well as private coaching, competition training, freeride, ski touring, Nordic skiing, biathlon and other mountain experiences.

Ski / Snowboard Lessons for All Ages

Alpine skiing is at the centre of the ESF Les Menuires programme. Very young children can start discovering snow through specially designed Piou-Piou activities from around three years old, where skiing is introduced through play in a dedicated environment. Children aged four and five also have age-appropriate programmes before progressing into the school's wider children's ski courses.

Children and teenagers group ski school

For children aged 6 to 12, the progression continues from Ourson and Flocon through the Étoile levels and towards competition. The objective is not simply to teach children how to ski, but to help them develop confidence, awareness and independence while enjoying the social side of learning with other young skiers.

Teenagers can continue their development through Class 1 to Class 4 programmes. These lessons focus on improving technique, fluidity and control while allowing more experienced young skiers to explore a greater variety of terrain.

Adult Group Ski School

Adults can also find courses suited to different levels. The standard adult improvement programme covers Class 1 to Class 4, making it suitable for skiers who already have some experience and want to become more comfortable and technically accomplished. Lessons concentrate on aspects such as footwork, fluidity and control across different types of terrain.

The standard six-day programme is available in morning and afternoon formats, while full-day courses and shorter individual sessions provide additional flexibility. For adults looking for a smaller group, the Top 6 course limits the class to six participants and is available for Class 1 and Class 2 skiers.

Beginners are also catered for through dedicated introductory ski courses, allowing people with no previous experience to learn the fundamentals and build confidence progressively.

Private Ski / Snowboard lessons

For those who prefer individual attention, ESF Les Menuires offers private tuition across skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing. Private sessions can be arranged for individuals or small groups of people with a similar ability, making them suitable for families, couples and friends.

The school also offers private coaching by the hour, longer sessions and full-day arrangements. This format is particularly useful for visitors who have a specific objective, want to rebuild confidence or prefer to progress at their own pace.
