Solden Overview

Famous for the cable car scene form the James Bond movie - Spectre, most of the skiing in Solden is above 2,000m, so you can find excellent snow conditions from mid November to early May. You can also do the Big 3 Rally which is a 50km tour that takes in the panoramic viewpoints at the top of resort’s three highest peaks, plus Austria's longest ski run that takes you from the glacier back down to Solden.

The resort itself has a traditional Tyrolean look and with over 50 restaurants to eat out at to enjoy Austria's traditional dishes such as Tiroler Grostl, or maybe you just fancy a Schnitzel, Sushi or a burger there is something for everyone.

Great après ski from mid-afternoon, in the center of the village there are many pubs, and clubs.

Things to do in Solden

Activities - Sölden is one of Austria’s most popular winter destinations, offering a wide range of activities both on and off the slopes. Its high-altitude ski area provides excellent opportunities for skiing and snowboarding, with extensive pistes and impressive views of the Ötztal Alps. Visitors can also enjoy winter hiking, snowshoeing and scenic walks through the snowy landscape. For a more relaxing experience, the Aqua Dome thermal spa in nearby Längenfeld is ideal for unwinding after an active day. Sölden also has plenty of opportunities for tobogganing, après-ski and mountain excursions, while the village offers restaurants, cafés and lively evening entertainment. Whether you are looking for outdoor adventure, relaxation or Alpine atmosphere, Sölden has something to offer throughout the winter season.

Restaurants - Sölden has a varied restaurant scene, ranging from rustic Tyrolean inns and traditional mountain huts to stylish restaurants and international cuisine. Visitors can enjoy regional specialities such as schnitzel, dumplings, cheese dishes and Kaiserschmarrn, as well as Italian food, pizza and more contemporary creations. Examples include s' Pfandl, known for traditional Tyrolean cuisine in a cosy setting, and Almwirtschaft Gampe Thaya, a mountain hut offering regional dishes. For a more refined dining experience, Restaurant ice Q sits high above Sölden at 3,048 metres and combines gourmet cuisine with spectacular Alpine views. In the village, CORSO Restaurant – Pizzeria – Bar offers Italian-inspired dishes and pizza, while Restaurant al-pine Sölden - Adults only focuses on regional ingredients and modern interpretations of Tyrolean cooking.

Apres Ski & Nightlife - Sölden is known for its lively après-ski atmosphere and energetic winter nightlife. The fun often starts on the mountain, where venues such as Gampe Alm and Panorama Alm combine Alpine scenery with music, drinks and a sociable atmosphere. As the ski lifts close, the party continues in the village, with bars and après-ski venues such as Schirmbar Sölden, Kuckuck and Almrausch offering different settings for an evening out. For those who want to continue late into the night, Sölden has several pubs and clubs along its main village street. Fire & Ice is one of the resort's established nightclubs, while venues such as Bierhimme are associated with live music and a more casual party atmosphere. Overall, winter evenings in Sölden can range from a relaxed drink in a cosy mountain bar to lively après-ski parties and late-night dancing, making nightlife a natural part of the resort experience.

Airport Transfers - How to get to Solden

We can organise your transfers from Salzburg airport, Innsbruck airport or Munich airport. You can also choose between a shuttle transfer which can be more economical if only a few people are travelling or a private transfer which will take you direct from the airport to your accommodation.

If you are making your own way to the resort by car - make sure you have the "Vignette" sticker as you will need this to travel on the highways in Austria otherwise you would receive a fine.
