Avoriaz Ski School

Whether it's your first time on the slopes or you're an off-piste expert, there's a level of tuition available to help you develop and refine your technique. Ski school is also a great way to meet like-minded people and have some fun skiing together with everyone sharing hints and tips across the group.

As well as group lessons, we can also arrange private lessons on request. Group lessons

Group lessons are organised by dividing participants according to age and ability level, so that everyone can learn alongside people of a similar standard. This ensures both better teaching and learning, as well as more enjoyment.

Skiing group lessons for beginners and intermediate learners.

- Children (aged 6 to 12): 2 hours per day, starting on Sunday, from 09.00 to 11.00

- Young people (aged 13 to 17): 2 hours per day, starting on Sunday, from 09.00 to 11.00.

- Adults (aged 18 and over): 2 hours per day starting on Sunday, from 09.00 to 11.00

Skiing group lessons for advanced learners.

For adults aged 18 and over only. Three hours a day, starting on Sunday, from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm.

Anyone wishing to join this group must be able to ski all slopes with ease, including black runs.

As regards the snowboard lessons, there are three groups:

- Children (aged 5 to 12): by request only

- Young people (aged 13 to 16): 2 hours per day starting on Sunday, from 09.00 to 11.00

- Adults (aged 18 and over): 2 hours per day starting on Sunday, from 09.00 to 11.00

Courses are available in French and English.

The meeting points for the lessons are printed directly on the voucher.

Programmes for children

The Avoriaz Ski School runs special programmes for children:

- Childcare Avrizou (from 6 months to 3 years): from Sunday to Friday, in the morning from 08.30 to 12.30 and in the afternoon from 13.30 to 17.30 (please note that for children aged 6 to 15 months, only half-day sessions are available, either morning or afternoon). You can choose whether or not to include a meal.

- Piou Piou Club (from 4 years old): this course is dedicate to children who have never skied before. In this package, children will take their first steps on the snow and combine learning to ski with other activities, combining learning with fun.

Private lessons

Private lessons are arranged to suit the client’s availability; clients can choose the day and time, subject, of course, to the school’s availability (for this reason, particularly if you are travelling during the high season, we recommend booking your lessons in advance). Lessons are available for a range of disciplines, from alpine skiing to freestyle skiing, freeride skiing and snowboarding.

Depending on your skill level, you’ll agree on a meeting point for the lesson with the instructor.
