Pamporovo is a small ski resort located in the heart of Bulgaria, boasting over 270 days of sunshine a year.
Despite its small size, (the slopes are only 36 km long), it's the ideal place for your first ski holiday. Most of the slopes are particularly suitable for those approaching the world of skiing for the first time or for beginners. If you're an intermediate or more experienced skier, Pamporovo may not be the right place for you, as there are very few more difficult slopes. There is, however, a very steep black slope where advanced skiers can test their skills.
The town of Pamporovo was built for easy access to the ski lifts. The town is full of hotels, restaurants, and bars. Although the atmosphere of this town is generally quiet, there is no shortage of places where you can have après-ski and have a drink before or after dinner.

Things to do - Among the activities you can try during your stay in Pamporovo are ski touring, cross-country skiing, winter walking, dog sledding, and skidooing. If you're looking to relax, you can visit the wellness centre with a sauna and spa. As mentioned, there are several amenities for families with children, such as equipped play areas.
Restaurants - In Pamporovo, you'll find a wealth of restaurants dotted throughout the village, ranging from traditional Bulgarian and local cuisine to international dishes such as pizza, pistachios, burgers, and even fish. Among the places we recommend are Neptun Winter Home, located inside a hotel and an elegant restaurant serving traditional Bulgarian cuisine; Gloria Mar, serving pasta and pizza, but especially fish; Glamour Chalet, a typically Alpine-style restaurant serving both local and international dishes and often featuring live music; Danmar, a casual and reasonably priced restaurant offering Balkan cuisine, including many meat dishes; and Orange House, boasting a lovely terrace overlooking the ski slopes, where you can enjoy classic Alpine dishes.
Nightlife - Although Pamporovo is generally a quiet resort, you'll find several places to go after skiing or dinner. Among the places you should check out are Dak's Bar, an Irish pub popular with both tourists and locals; Plan B, the perfect place if you want to party on the dance floor; Lio's, located beneath a hotel in central Pamporovo with an elegant atmosphere; and Panorama Bar and Food, which boasts fun private parties with DJ sets on the bar's terrace.
