Tignes is part of the Tignes - Val d'Isere ski area and offers around 300km of slopes, which, thanks to the altitude of over 1800m, guarantee excellent snow conditions throughout the season. The terrain of this resort is particularly suitable for intermediate skiers, although skiers of all levels will find something to suit them on these slopes. In addition, you can also try skiing on a glacier here, thanks to the Grande Motte glacier. Tignes is also the perfect place for off-piste skiing, freeriding and ski touring enthusiasts.
The resort of Tignes is made up of several villages located at different altitudes, each offering its own atmosphere, so you are sure to find the place that suits you best according to your tastes and needs. These include Val Claret, Le Lac, Tignes 1800 and Les Brevieres.
Foodies will certainly enjoy themselves in Tignes, thanks to the presence of many restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, from those with a more relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere to gourmet and even Michelin-starred restaurants. When it comes to après-ski and nightlife, Tignes offers many options, from the quieter ones more suitable for families with children to places more suited to those who want to party until the early hours of the morning.

Things to do - Among the activities you can enjoy in Tignes are ski touring, freeride skiing, snowshoe walking, snow tubing, dog sledding, ice driving, ice diving, paragliding and snowmobiling. You can also try your hand at climbing thanks to the presence of a climbing wall. When you want to relax, you can visit the leisure centre with its swimming pool or enjoy a film at the local cinema.
Restaurants - In the various villages that make up the Tignes ski resort, you will find plenty of restaurants. Among those we recommend trying are the Loop Bar, the ideal place for a break with hamburgers and wraps between ski slopes or at the end of the day, TexMex Tignes, for American and Tex-Mex cuisine, Le Panoramic, which is the highest Michelin-starred restaurant in the world, boasting beautiful mountain views and serving excellent meat dishes, and La Ferme des 3 Capucines, where you can enjoy typical French cuisine.
Nightlife - Tignes offers a lively après-ski and nightlife scene, although there are also quieter spots for those who prefer a relaxed evening to dancing the night away. Among the venues worth visiting are the Blue Girl, perfect for dancing the night away to DJ sets, Ranga's, where you can watch sports on TV or dance to DJ sets, the Marmot Arms, a great place for après-ski that is not too expensive, and Cave du Loop, where you can watch live sports while enjoying excellent cocktails. Cocorico, for wild dancing and live music every day, and L'Acrobaze Café, which is a relaxing bar during the day but transforms into a lively après-ski venue as the hours pass.
