Flaine is part of the Grand Massif ski area and offers 265 km of sunny slopes suitable for all levels of skiers, although it is particularly suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers, thanks to the presence of many green and blue slopes. The longest slope in the area is Les Cascades, which is 14 km long. There are several nursery areas right next to the town. More experienced skiers can enjoy the black slopes, and for lovers of fresh powder there is the Combe de Gers, a true paradise for off-piste skiing. For a complete experience, we recommend hiring a guide to take you to the best spots for freeriding.
The town of Flaine is divided into two parts, Flaine Forum and Flaine Forêt, conveniently connected by a funicular. The style of the towns is quite modern, with buildings designed in a brutalist style, which contrasts sharply with the surrounding mountain landscape. This resort offers around 20 restaurants to choose from. Although there are not many, the food is of a high standard and you are sure to find places that suit your taste. As for nightlife, Flaine is not particularly lively, partly due to its small size, and is more of a place for a quiet aperitif at the end of the day than for dancing until late at night.

Things to do - Among the activities you can enjoy during your stay in Flaine are ski touring, freeriding, cross-country skiing, snowshoe walking, snow biking, ice skating, paragliding, ice dribbling, ice karting and skidooing. When you want to relax, you can head to the swimming pool, watch a film at the local cinema or challenge your family and friends to a game of bowling.
Restaurants - Although there are only 20 restaurants in Flaine, the quality of the food on offer is very high. Among the restaurants that are definitely worth trying are L'Ancolie, a traditional-style restaurant serving meat dishes, Chez Pierrot, a particularly family-friendly restaurant where you can enjoy both excellent pizza and typical French cuisine, L'Eterlou, an elegant restaurant offering high-quality food, and Brasserie le Cimes, located in the centre of Flaine and particularly popular with families.
Nightlife - If you are looking for wild nightlife, Flaine is not the place for you. Given its small size, Flaine tends to be a quiet place, where people usually prefer a peaceful aperitif to enjoy at the end of the day in a moment of relaxation. Among the places we recommend visiting are Le White Pub, where there is often live music and excellent drinks, and Eloge, located right next to the ski slopes and with a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy après-ski.
