Andorra Guide

Andorra info & Overview

Andorra is a small sovereign state (Principality) set in the beautiful and spectacular Pyrenees between Spain and France.   Andorra enjoys a tax-free status which gives an added attraction for some duty-free shopping to fill in any spare time.

Andorra boasts some of the finest resorts in Southern Europe and is renowned for its ski-schools and professional English speaking ski instructors, making it one of the best destinations for learners.  The Après Ski and off-piste activities are a large part of skiing in Andorra which remains one of the most popular and budget-friendly options for skiers in Europe.

The two main international airports to fly into would be Barcelona & Toulouse from which regular shuttle bus services can be contracted at affordable prices.

There are two main ski areas in Andorra: Grandvalira, which has over 210 km of pistes extending from Pas de la Casa (the liveliest resort in Andorra) through to Soldeu and El Tarter which are fabulous family-friendly resorts with some of the finest accommodation in the Principality.  Vallnord (Nordpass) links the ski areas of Arinsal and Pal (La Massana) and also includes Arcalis-Ordino  with a total of over 80 km of pistes and firm favourites with families and beginners in particular.
